Celso Caldas Martins Xavier
is head of Demarest’s Restructuring and Bankruptcy team, as well as member of the firm’s executive committee. He holds an LLM from Stanford Law School (USA) and a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP. Celso concentrates his practice in reorganisation proceedings and insolvency-related litigation. He has extensive experience in the banking/investment, construction/engineering, oil and gas, automotive, life sciences, consumer goods and technology segments. He has also worked as International Lawyer at Fenwick & West LLP in the United States. Celso is a founding member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) in Brazil and member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL).
