About Charles Kerrigan

Charles Kerrigan is a partner at CMS specialising in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and deep tech transactions. He advises on AI strategy, regulation, investment and commercialisation, including AI governance frameworks, regulatory compliance and implementation projects across the UK, EMEA and the US. He works with global technology companies, financial institutions, venture capital firms and deep tech investors, as well as governments and regulators. His work includes developing AI training modules for global banks and advising on AI governance, risk management and regulatory programmes. Charles has been involved in AI policy for over a decade and was a founding member and legal adviser to the UK Parliament’s Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence, where he continues to serve. He also sits on advisory boards including the Investment Association Engine and other industry bodies and firms.
