About Christina Papanikolopoulou

Christina Papanikolopoulou (managing partner of ppl) has more than three decades of practice in the Greek market. She played a leading role in the first securitisation in the Greek banking sector, the first Greek synthetic securitisation and the first CMBS transaction. Christina has also advised on the Greek PSI, the recapitalisations of systemic banks and the first special liquidation of a failing Greek bank. In the non-performing loan sector, she structured the first portfolio sale for a medium-sized bank and the first securitisation of commercial NPLs for a systemic bank, advising on most major NPL transactions, including HAPS deals and the establishment of the Greek arm of a leading European NPL servicer.
