is the head of Trilegal's banking and finance group and has almost two decades of experience. His practice covers project financing, structured financing, restructuring, insolvency, syndicate finance and leveraged financing, both domestic as well as cross-border. He has also assisted institutions in developing and implementing solutions for complex cross-border structured financings. His clients include multinational banks, multilateral agencies, domestic banks and NBFCs, as well as a number of credit funds active in the Indian market. Ameya works closely with Trilegal’s projects clients, particularly in the power sector, in negotiating their project financing arrangements with lenders and financial institutions. In the past, Ameya has served as vice-chair of the Financial Institutions and Insolvency Subcommittee of the International Bar Association (IBA). An alumnus of ILS, Pune, Ameya is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, India.
