About Andreas Mötsch

Andreas Mötsch is a founding partner of Thum & Partner and advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on patent prosecution and contentious proceedings. He has extensive experience in drafting patent applications and handling German and European grant and opposition proceedings, and in representing clients in nullity and infringement actions. His work frequently involves technically complex matters, particularly in mechanical engineering, sensor technology, production technology and automotive engineering. Andreas is also involved in cross-border disputes, and has been working on approximately a dozen UPC cases to date.
