About Andreas Tanner

Andreas Tanner works in the field of electrical and semiconductor engineering as well as standard essential mobile communications technology, such as WiFi and 5G, 6G. As an electrical engineer, he formulates patent applications in these fields and accompanies grant proceedings before the relevant patent offices in Germany and abroad. He has advised and represented clients for more than ten years in infringement proceedings in all instances before the German courts and the UPC. These often cross-border disputes mostly concern standard essential patents in the fields of mobile communications, consumer electronics and connected cars. Andreas Tanner has headed the Munich office of Maikowski & Ninnemann since 2015.
