About Ajay Kumar

Ajay Kumar is the managing partner of KLA Legal. Specialising in aviation leasing and finance, he advises on leasing, financing, repossessions, insolvency and the structuring of various cross-border aviation matters. His clients include manufacturers, lessors, leading banks and financial institutions worldwide. He has vast litigation experience and has been involved extensively in various repossessions and bankruptcy-related matters. Mr Kumar has worked closely with the Ministry of Civil Aviation to bring about amendments to the Aircraft Rules in line with India’s commitments under the Cape Town Convention. He is involved with the ambitious GIFT City project of the Indian government.
