About Alan Cassels

Alan Cassels is a partner in Burness Paull’s banking team. Having started his career specialising in projects and project finance, he has also developed specific and extensive expertise acting for lenders and borrowers in corporate and leveraged finance and in real estate finance. As well as advising on traditional finance structures, Alan advises on transactions involving various types of asset-based lending, securitisation and derivatives. He has also advised buyers and sellers on debt sale transactions, both distressed and non-distressed, and has overseen mortgage book sale transactions in relation to portfolios of lifetime mortgages.
