Bahram N Vakil
is regarded as a market leader for his restructuring and bankruptcy experience and has served on various government committees on financial reform, foreign direct investment and securities market reform, including the Dr T K Viswanathan Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee (constituted to draft the IBC), the Insolvency Law Committee (constituted to recommend ongoing amendments to the IBC), the Task Force on the Development of a Secondary Market for Corporate loans (2019), and the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Committee (2011). Bahram is also the first lawyer to be invited to the International Insolvency Institute, a non–profit, limited membership organisation set up to promote international co-operation in the insolvency field. He is on the boards of several other organisations relating to restructuring and insolvency.
