About Belisario Porras

Belisario Porras has over 25 years of experience and is an expert on maritime law, ship finance, corporate, commercial and banking law. His expertise has been instrumental in managing the maritime and corporate interests of prominent ship-owning companies, ship managers, banks and financial institutions across a diverse range of jurisdictions, including Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Based in Patton Moreno & Asvat’s Panamanian head office and leading the London branch, he contributes significantly to shipping financing and ship registration law development in the country. He is a member of the Panamanian Bar Association, the German Panamanian Chamber of Commerce and the Panama Maritime Law Association, having been the President of the latter from 2015 to 2017.
