Gemma Walters is a partner in the regulatory and fintech team at Travers Thorp Alberga, based in the Cayman Islands. Gemma’s experience includes advising on licensing, registration and regulatory classification of virtual asset platforms, protocols and fintech businesses. She acts for clients across a broad spectrum of the digital asset industry, from early-stage innovators to institutional-grade infrastructure providers and regularly engages with CIMA on complex perimeter and licensing questions. Gemma prepares legal opinions, licensing applications, compliance frameworks and internal policy documentation, and supports clients through the full regulatory lifecycle. Gemma is qualified as an attorney in the Cayman Islands and as a solicitor in England & Wales (non-practising).
