About Gilberto Sánchez Escárcega

Gilberto Sánchez Escárcega has over 28 years of experience in intellectual property, combining public sector experience, private practice and leadership as managing partner of SPECIFIC IP. He holds a law degree from Universidad Intercontinental and completed postgraduate studies in copyright and related rights at the University of Buenos Aires and Harvard Law School. He began his career at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and later worked in specialised IP firms. His practice covers trade marks, patents, copyrights and IP litigation. He is a member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA), among others.
