About Daniel Pietragallo

Daniel Pietragallo is special counsel in the Denver office of Buchalter LLP, a member of the Intellectual Property group, and co‑chair of the Artificial Intelligence industry group. A former Senior Assistant Attorney General for Colorado and former Assistant District Attorney in Allegheny County, he focuses on white-collar litigation, cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI governance. He teaches Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and Incident Response as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver. He holds IAPP certifications including AIGP, CIPP/US, and FIP, and serves on the Rocky Mountain Cyber Fraud Task Force and various AI governance working groups, including the Sedona Conference.
