About Diogo Pereira Duarte

Diogo Pereira Duarte is a partner and co-coordinator of the finance practice at Abreu Advogados. He advises clients on fintech and financial regulation, with a particular focus on crypto-assets, payment services, digital finance, AML/CFT compliance, cloud outsourcing, open banking and data protection matters. His work includes supporting both regulated institutions and technology-driven market entrants on licensing, regulatory strategy and product structuring in Portugal and across the EU. Diogo also co-ordinates the postgraduate programmes on data protection and fintech at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL), and was selected by Banco de Portugal to join the Market Contact Group on the Digital Euro.
