Elisabetta Righini
is a partner in Sidley’s Brussels office and a member of its Global Technology Group. Betta advises multinationals, particularly global technology companies and online retailers, on EU regulation and litigation. Drawing on more than 25 years’ experience, including 15 years in senior positions at the European Commission, she combines deep regulatory insight with a creative approach to complex, fast-changing frameworks. She is especially recognised for her work on technology and AI regulation, regularly advising digital platforms, online retailers and media services on the Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act and AI Act, and representing clients before EU institutions and courts. Betta has been a Visiting Professor at King’s College London’s Centre of European Law for over 15 years and now sits on its Advisory Board.
