About Francis Gimara

Francis Gimara is the head of the legal and consultancy department, working in Uganda and Tanzania. He has advised many public institutions and private sector players on compliance issues, procedural matters and claims for redress, with wide experience in public contracts and administrative proceedings, administrative law and regulatory, constitutional law, insolvency law and practice, corporate governance law, agricultural law, and ADR. A former president of the Uganda Law Society, he is a renowned legal practitioner before the East African Court of Justice in Arusha, Tanzania, where he represents clients on investment and trade-related disputes under the East African Community Treaty and Common Market, and is a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society, the Pan-African Lawyers Union and the International Bar Association.
