About Kate Hatwell

Kate Hatwell is a partner in Tompkins Wake’s property team, specialising in property and local government law, with extensive experience in leasing (retail, commercial and industrial), commercial property transactions (sales and acquisitions) and development (development agreements, mixed-use and large-scale developments). She acts for private and public sector clients across the retail, commercial, office, industrial and residential property sectors. Kate has practised law since 2004, joining Tompkins Wake in 2013 and becoming a partner in 2018. Of Ngāti Maniapoto descent, she is deputy chair and trustee of the South Waikato Investment Fund Trust.
