Katrina Sharman
of Piper Alderman is a special counsel with over 20 years’ post-admission experience across Australia and the United States, advising on digital assets, fintech and emerging technologies. She combines private practice foundations with senior in-house leadership, having served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at high-growth fintech and crypto businesses. Katrina advises on digital asset products, financial services licensing, AML/CTF, consumer protection and global compliance strategy, with a focus on crypto advisory. She spent almost six years at Coinbase, leading product lifecycle counselling for consumer and payments products. Katrina is admitted in Australia and California, is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) and holds an LLM from Harvard Law School.
