About Katy Hacking

Katy Hacking works within the firm’s Construction and Dispute Resolution practice. Based in Dubai, Katy specialises in providing contentious construction advice, specialising in international arbitrations concerning construction and energy-related matters within the MENA region. In addition to providing strategic advice in relation to potential disputes, Katy has experience in dealing with a variety of employers, contractors, subcontractors, joint ventures and consultants in disputes relating to a number of key issues, including breach of contract, decennial liability, enforcement of arbitration awards, recoverability of loss of profit, extensions of time, delay and disruption and liquidated damages. Before moving to Dubai, Katy began her legal career at an international law firm in the UK where she practised in both Leeds and London on various contentious and non-contentious matters concerning infrastructure, real estate and energy-related projects. Katy moved to Dubai in 2014 and worked on a number of international arbitration and local court matters (both in the UAE and elsewhere), before joining the firm in 2017.
