About Hwan Kyoung Ko

Hwan Kyoung Ko is a partner at Lee & Ko and heads the data privacy and cybersecurity team, the tech and AI team, and the platform regulation response team. He is widely recognised as a leading expert in data protection and cybersecurity in Korea. He has advised major domestic and global companies on high-profile data breach investigations, regulatory proceedings and enterprise-wide data governance projects. He also advised on amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act and the Credit Information Act. Mr Ko serves as Vice-Chairman of the Korea Personal Information Protection Law Association, and is a member of several government AI and data policy committees.
