About Johann von Pachelbel

Johann von Pachelbel is an associate in A&O Shearman’s Hamburg office, working in the firm’s global energy and infrastructure practice. He advises on domestic and cross-border transactions, joint ventures and reorganisations, with a focus on energy infrastructure and decarbonisation at the intersection of corporate M&A, commercial and regulatory topics. His practice encompasses offshore wind and other renewables, battery storage, hydrogen and industry decarbonisation. Prior to joining the firm, Johann gained multi-perspective experience in the energy sector, working in the utility, project development and investment space, as well as for federal regulatory authorities (Federal Network Agency, Ministry of Economics and Energy).
