About James Smith

James Smith is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia and a consultant at ESP. He was admitted as an attorney in 2015 and holds an LLB from the University of South Africa and an LLM from the University of Cape Town. James is recognised internationally as a leading competition law practitioner in Namibia. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, with particular expertise in competition law and regulatory matters. He also has extensive experience in payment systems, mining and energy law, as well as advising on acquisition finance, banking and finance, insurance, pension funds and other complex financial transactions. He has played a leading role in high-profile mergers and acquisitions.
