About Mathieu Relange

Mathieu Relange is counsel in the competition and antitrust practice of FTPA Avocats. He advises clients on French and EU competition law matters, including merger control, antitrust investigations, state aid, foreign subsidy regulation, foreign investment screening and Digital Markets Act compliance. Mathieu brings extensive international and institutional experience, having spent more than ten years in leading Brussels-based law firms, including Cleary Gottlieb and Bird & Bird, before joining the legal department of the French Competition Authority between 2021 and 2025. He is recognised for his high-level antitrust expertise and unique insight into the French Competition Authority’s decision-making processes and practices.
