About Matthew Yarbrough

Matthew Yarbrough is an internationally recognised trial lawyer, former federal prosecutor, co-creator of the Texas AG’s Internet Bureau, and the FBI’s Texas Computer Forensics Laboratory. He has over 30 years of experience in IP, cybersecurity and data privacy. He has conducted more than 2,000 internal corporate investigations involving governance, compliance, securities fraud, cybersecurity, and trade secret theft. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Matthew prosecuted high-profile cybersecurity cases: U.S. v. Gl0balHell; and U.S. v. PhoneMasters. He led the DOJ’s first-of-its-kind trial task force, Criminal Intellectual Property and Computer Crimes. He has also authored numerous articles, including “Suing the Insecure in Cyberspace.”
