About Mario Flor

Mario Flor is a partner and head of the energy practice at Flor Bustamante Pizarro & Hurtado. He is one of the pioneers in renewable energy projects in Ecuador. Dr Flor represented the group of investors in the first wind farm built in the Galapagos Islands, considered a milestone in renewable energy projects in the region, and has represented various international financial institutions, including ECAs, MLAs and other credit agencies and commercial lenders, on project finance and PPP transactions in the most important infrastructure projects in Ecuador. His professional background includes teaching as a Professor of Civil and Roman Law (1995–1996) and Professor of Negotiations in the Catholic University of Quito in 1999.
