About Nobuharu Onishi

Nobuharu Onishi is a partner at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto who is active in the fields of asset management, investment funds, investment companies, capital markets and financial regulations. He advises an international client base, focusing on the USA, the EU, Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands. He was advising the Financial Services Agency and the Japan Securities Dealers’ Association (JSDA) when new foreign investment funds regulations concerning derivative transactions and diversification requirements were introduced, and he has assisted the JSDA in prescribing the new regulations in accordance with the Asia Region Funds Passport’s Memorandum of Co-operation. Nobuharu is a member of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
