Paul Yovanic is a nationally recognised partner in Seyfarth Shaw’s litigation department and a member of the firm’s DATA Law practice. He focuses on class actions – particularly data privacy and information security cases – including defending clients in data breach litigation and suits under the Illinois Biometric Privacy Act (BIPA), the Illinois Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA) and the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA). Paul frequently handles high‑profile, first‑impression matters and advises on biometric technology risk and compliance. He writes and speaks on emerging privacy issues, co‑edits Seyfarth’s Consumer Class Action Defense Blog, and serves as a panelist at various thought-leadership conferences.
