About Rowanie Nakan

Rowanie Nakan is a senior partner at Cruz Marcelo & Tenefrancia and leads its Patent group. Her background includes local and international patent training, with expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, freedom to operate searches, IP litigation, valuation and commercialisation. She is among the top passers of the 2007 Patent Agent Qualifying Examination jointly administered by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office. She is also a certified IP Valuator, after completing and passing the course administered by the Association for Management and Valuation of Intangibles. Nakan graduated from the UP College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics.
