About Rafiq Jaffer

Rafiq Jaffer is a partner in the banking and finance practice at Al Tamimi & Company with over 15 years’ experience. He advises on a broad range of banking matters, including bank lending and debt capital markets transactions across conventional and Islamic structures. His experience includes syndicated lending, external commercial borrowings, trade finance and cash management. Prior to re-joining the firm, he served as head of legal at Barclays Bank in India, where he led legal support for wholesale lending activities across multiple products and jurisdictions, supporting the bank’s broader financing and credit operations.
