About Wooyoung Choi

Wooyoung Choi is co-head of the Digital Asset Centre at Lee & Ko and a first-generation digital asset specialist in Korea with deep expertise in IP and technology. Since 2017, he has built an unparalleled track record across digital asset issuance, trading, regulatory compliance, VASP registration, investigations, civil and criminal litigation, tax audits and STO regulatory sandbox advisory. He successfully handled Korea’s largest digital asset disputes, including the Terra-Luna and Haru Investment matters, and is well versed in complex cross-border arbitrage and OTC transactions. He currently serves as expert adviser to the ruling party’s Digital Asset Task Force and as a member of the Korean Bar Association’s IT and Blockchain Special Committee.
