About Tomás Menchaca

Tomás Menchaca is the founding partner of Menchaca & Cía and has extensive experience in competition law. He is a distinguished lawyer and professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and has been the director of its Competition Law Programme since 2024. He has served as a consultant, litigator and adviser in this area. His involvement in Chilean competition law spans many years: he has been a member of the Honorable Comisión Resolutiva (1996–1998) and a justice of the Chilean Antitrust Court (2004–2010), as well as its president (from 2010–2016). He is widely recognised as one of the country’s most prestigious and prominent experts in competition law.
