About Tarja Wist

Tarja Wist is the founding partner of Wist Attorneys and an internationally highly esteemed capital markets and finance law professional. Before establishing Wist Attorneys in 2020, Ms Wist was a senior partner of another commercial Finnish law firm. In her 30 years’ legal career, Ms Wist has advised several international and domestic banks, finance companies, investors and corporations in various finance and capital markets transactions, including syndicated lending, secured and asset-based financing, securitisation and debt and equity issuances. Alongside her private practice, Ms Wist has served as a director of a listed Finnish bank and participated in legislative work as a member of the legislative working group for the implementation of the EU Takeover Directive and the legislative working group for the Securities Market Reform in 2012. Ms Wist is also a former chair of the Specialist Group for Finance and Capital Markets Law of the Finnish Bar Association and a former co-chair of the Banking Law Committee of the International Bar Association.
