About Alexandros Efstathiou

Alexandros Efstathiou has been a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and Chrysostomides Advocates & Legal Consultants since 2015, and is currently a senior associate. Alexandros’s primary areas of practice are EU/competition law and employment law. Alexandros is the legal adviser on employment matters for companies in industries such as construction, investment trading, logistics, software development and shipping. Some examples of his work include advising on collective redundancies in the hospitality industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, advising on separation and divestment of operations of one of the largest multinational data and market measurement firms, and advising managers of the container terminal concessionaire of the Limassol Port on employment matters. Alexandros is also a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association and the Young Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and has attended a number of conferences during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic physically and online as a speaker on matters pertaining to remote work, its implications and proposed regulation of such new forms of work, as well as on matters of mandatory vaccinations and collection of health data.
