About Diego Martínez

Diego Martínez is the co-managing partner of DLA Piper Mexico and focuses his practice on general corporate matters, with an emphasis on M&A, corporate finance and debt restructuring transactions, either out-of-court or insolvency in-court proceedings. He has extensive experience in banking and securities financings regarding simple and structured financings provided by other financial and non-financial entities, and those granted by venture capital and private equity funds. He represents Mexican and foreign banks and other lenders, providing counsel in connection with credits and the creation and perfection of Mexican security packages. He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association, College of Lawyers, the Chairman of the Legal Committee of Best Practices of Corporate Governances of the Entrepreneur Coordination Council (Consejo Coordinador Empresarial) and a member of the Georgetown University Law Center Committee (CAROLA).
