About Jean-Yves Berte

Jean-Yves Berte is a senior associate of Bilé-Aka, Brizoua-Bi and Associés (BBA). Prior to joining the firm in 2019, he was an associate for Avocats-Conseils Reunis in Abidjan (2017–18). Between 2003 and 2012, he served as General Counsel for the Côte d’Ivoire state-owned mining company SODEMI. Consequently, his main areas of practice include mining law, in addition to business law, insurance law and project financing, particularly in the OHADA zone. Jean-Yves assists multinational companies and the development of their mining projects in West Africa in both French and English. He is admitted to the Bar of Côte d’Ivoire.
