About Méliane Etien-Usher

Méliane Etien-Usher has been a lawyer with Bilé-Aka, Brizoua-Bi and Associés (BBA) since February 2023, specialising in corporate and commercial law, project financing, foreign investment and trade law in the OHADA region, as well as corporate governance. She advises lenders and companies on project financing, due diligence and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Méliane worked for Export Development Canada where she was a member of the litigation, trade, governance and operations team, and specialised in procurement and governance matters. She is fluently bilingual, working in French and English. Méliane was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.
