About Sivakumaren (Robin) Mardemootoo

Sivakumaren (Robin) Mardemootoo qualified as an attorney in 1997 and is the managing partner of Dentons Mauritius, where he heads the corporate advisory and litigation teams. He also serves as Dentons’ regional lead for the banking and finance practice group across Africa. Robin has lectured at the University of Mauritius Faculty of Law and participated in academic discussions at Aix-Marseille University, American University Washington College of Law, and the University of Texas at Austin. He is recognised for leading complex, high-stakes cross-border disputes, with particular expertise in sanctions, banking, insolvency and shareholder matters. His practice spans both public and private sector clients, and is distinguished by a strategic understanding of regulatory frameworks, cross-border complexities, and multi-layered dispute resolution.
