Valts Nerets
is a co-head of Sorainen’s Latvian Dispute Resolution and Risk Management practice. He specialises in cross-border and investment-related issues and disputes, such as structuring investments, negotiating with governments, and representing clients in courts and arbitration courts. As counsel for E Energija, Mr Nerets helped the client investor win a favourable award against the Republic of Latvia in its first investment arbitration case at ICSID. Mr Nerets is an arbitrator at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Court of Arbitration.
