About José Ignacio Rivero

José Ignacio Rivero is the co-ordinating partner of González Calvillo’s banking and financial services practice area, with more than 15 years’ experience of providing legal and business advisory services to Mexican and foreign clients. José Ignacio actively represents individuals and companies across a wide range of sectors, handling multimillion-dollar transactions both domestically and internationally. His experience includes working as an international associate at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York. José Ignacio holds an LLM from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and an LLB from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. Additionally, he has been a law professor at Escuela Libre de Derecho and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
