About Julia González

Julia González is counsel at Gonzalez Calvillo. She focuses on the development of infrastructure projects and takes part in constitutional claims against general statutes and regulations that may impact the environment and competition, and in collective actions related to environmental and consumer matters. Julia has led over 40 social impact assessments across the Mexican energy sector and advises companies on how to obtain prior, free and informed consent. Julia has also served as an expert in administrative and constitutional law for the Agency for Security, Energy and Environment (ASEA) where she identified international best practices for industrial safety, operational safety, environmental protection and insurance for the hydrocarbons sector.
