About Polly Pope

Polly Pope is a barrister and arbitrator who joined Bankside Chambers after over a decade as a partner at premier New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh. Polly has expertise in construction, insolvency, commercial and financial disputes. She is one of three arbitrators appointed to the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand’s Arbitration Appeals Tribunal. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Polly is ranked by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific 2023 and 2024 for both Dispute Resolution and Restructuring/Insolvency, and won ‘Best in Restructuring and Insolvency’ at the 2021 Asia Women in Business Law Awards. Polly was admitted in New Zealand in 1999 and in England and Wales in 2002.
