Mr. Hemant Sahai is an advisor on-board with several working groups and committees formed by top government bodies/institutions like the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and other government bodies, from time to time. He is a member of Delhi High Court Bar Association, Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa and International Bar Association. He also sits on Confederation of Indian Industry (CII’s) Infrastructure Committee. Hemant has written several articles in renowned Indian as well as international publications in the Infrastructure space with sectors ranging from Energy, Oil & Gas, Power (Conventional and Renewable), Clean Development Mechanism etc. Hemant has also played an important role in drafting the Electricity Act, 2003. In addition, he is regularly called upon to speak at diverse Indian and International forums, seminars and workshops. He was also invited by the University of California, Berkeley, to make a presentation in a conference organised by the University in relation to the proposed legislations being debated in California for creation of an appropriate cap and trade market mechanism.
