About Rui Fernandes

Rui Fernandes provides advice with respect to marine contract and commercial law. He is a qualified mediator and arbitrator and obtained his FCIArb in 2020. Rui has appeared as senior counsel in trial and appellate courts and agencies across Canada: The Supreme Court of Canada, The Federal Court, Ontario, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Alberta, Canadian Transportation Agency, and Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada. He has written nine texts, including the Halsbury series on Maritime Law.
