About Takashi Koyama

Takashi Koyama is an attorney at Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners licensed in both Japan and the State of New York, and a registered patent attorney in Japan. He has extensive experience in intellectual property, cross-border transactions, export control, sanctions and foreign direct investment (FDI) issues, life science matters, and dispute resolution, including arbitration. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, he served as a negotiator for the intellectual property, investment and energy chapters in FTA/EPA negotiations, and later became director of the Intellectual Property Affairs Division, acting as lead negotiator for intellectual property in the TPP, Japan-EU EPA, and RCEP negotiations, and as co-chair for intellectual property in the CPTPP negotiations.
