C J Kim
is a founding partner of Choi & Kim, the leading maritime and insurance law firm in Korea. He has been involved in the major matters of maritime, insurance and trade disputes and handled various cross-border litigations for over 30 years. He is advising the IOPC Fund in the Hebei Sprit oil spill case, the largest oil spill case in Korean history. He served as the chairman of the Special Enquiry Authority for the tragic Sewol ferry disaster which took place in April 2014. He served as the fifth president of the Korea Insurance Law Association from April 2015 to April 2017 and currently serves as mediation commissioner for the Seoul High Court and arbitrator for the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
