About Yao Zhang

Yao Zhang is the leader of Han Kun Law Offices’ bankruptcy and restructuring group. One of the first professionals to engage in corporate bankruptcy reorganisation practice in China, Yao possesses extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field. He has participated in restructuring cases for dozens of large enterprises and listed companies – as either a member of or consultant to the administrators – and has also served as legal adviser for local governments, participating in debt restructuring and state-owned enterprise reform projects for key enterprises. Yao is a member of the State-Owned Property Rights Transaction and Litigation Asset Disposal Professional Committee of the Beijing Debt Law Research Association.
