About Jennifer Colegate

Jennifer Colegate is a partner with Baker & Partners in the Cayman Islands. She advises a variety of stakeholders on restructuring and insolvency issues, enforcement and asset recovery, and commercial disputes. Most recently she successfully secured the appointment of restructuring officers to a segregated portfolio company in the Holt Funds SPC case. She advises the SEC Receiver appointed to the TCA Global Credit Group. Before practising in the Cayman Islands she practised in Hong Kong and London advising on cross-border insolvency matters including in respect of the collapse of former investment bank Lehman Brothers. She is currently Co-Chair of the Cayman Islands Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and is an author and presenter on the Introductory Certificate in Insolvency Law and Practice in the Cayman Islands provided by RISA/INSOL International.
