About Daan Horsthuis

Daan Horsthuis leads Van Doorne’s funds and investment management group, which he joined in 2021. He advises pension funds and other institutional investors on discretionary and fiduciary investment management, asset pooling, fund investments and the supervisory frameworks that apply to them, including the AIFMD, UCITS, MiFID and sustainability regimes. He also structures alternative investment funds across private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate, advises Dutch and foreign managers on regulatory compliance, and assists with capital markets transactions involving funds and asset managers. He is a member of the legal and regulatory committee of the Dutch Association for Private Equity and Venture Capital.
