About Sijbren Kuiper

Sijbren Kuiper heads Van Doorne’s pensions practice and became a partner in 2023. He advises and litigates for pension funds, insurers and corporate clients on the transition to the new Dutch pension system, collective value transfers, fund liquidations, outsourcing, de-risking and mandatory participation in industry-wide pension funds. He teaches postgraduate pension law and contributes to a leading annotated commentary on Dutch pension legislation. He recently authored a book chapter on mass claims in the pension sector. He is a member of the Dutch Pension Law Association, a member of the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association and serves on the Dutch Bar Association’s advisory committee on pension legislation.
