About Johannes Vogel

Johannes Vogel has a broad range of finance experience, focusing on cross-border asset finance and leasing structures and restructurings in the aviation industry. In addition, he specialises in international insolvency law questions involving financial institutions and airlines. He primarily advises airlines, operating lessors and rail operators, as well as banks and other financial institutions. Johannes completed his legal education and obtained an additional diploma in economics at the University of Bayreuth in 2004. He holds a doctor of law (Dr Jur) degree from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined Freshfields in 2008 and became a partner in 2022.
